“Scams, Fraud & Shenanigans – What you Should Know!”
Did you know that older adults (age 55+) are a prime target for financial scammers?Crooks use clever schemes to defraud people around the world every year – even here!By combining sophisticated technology with age-old tricks, they get people to send money or secretly obtain their personal information. New scams are developed constantly.Fortunately, there are ways you can protect yourself and Hope’s Front Door wants to help you “get smart on scams”.
Hope’s Front Door is hosting a workshop, “Scams, Fraud & Shenanigans – What You Should Know!” on Thursday, October 26, 2017, starting at 10:30am.In this workshop, the various types of scams will be explored along with steps you can take to avoid being scammed. We encourage you, family, caregivers or anyone else who may be interested, to attend. It’s never too late to learn how to protect yourself!
