HOPE’S FRONT DOOR: 20th ANNIVERSARY PROHIBITION PARTY VIRTUAL FUNDRAISER
FACEBOOK LIVE: OCTOBER 21-24, 2020
You can still wear a flapper dress and boa or a sharp zoot suit with a fedora and sip a chilled Old Fashioned or Gin Rickey, but your outfit could just as easily be workout wear or pajamas. Since you won’t be driving anywhere, you could even help yourself to a second glass! Why? Hope’s Front Door’s 20th Anniversary Prohibition Party is going virtual via Facebook Live on October 24, 2020 starting at 7:00 pm, with theme days on October 21-23 leading up to the big event.
In this challenging year, Hope’s Front Door celebrates 20 years of community service with its virtual Prohibition Party fundraiser. The fundraiser will harken back to telethons of old giving viewers a chance to enjoy a Tip the Bartender cocktail making session, live music, local celebrities, jazz/swing dance lessons, raffles, best dressed competition and more. While enjoying the festivities, opportunities will be offered to help raise money for a worthy cause.
For the last 20 years, Hope’s Front Door has helped over 25,500 adults and children access basic necessities. These include food, transportation, hygiene, school supplies and toiletry items as well as access to vision and oral healthcare, all of which are in high demand by those impacted by the pandemic. Hope’s Front Door also helps community members enhance their life-skills with our Pathways Programs: Financial Literacy, Employment and Well-Being.
While the theme of our fundraiser is Roaring ‘20s prohibition . . . community members are definitely not prohibited from giving because we truly need them during this time!”
To help us meet this challenge, we are very excited to announce that now through October 31st,all contributions received will have double the impact! For every dollar donated, it will be matched up to $20,000!
